On Friday, Lawrence took their match with ease, bagging a 75-29 victory over Mt. Blue. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Cougars are ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Cony hadn't done well against Gardiner recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Cony simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Gardiner 79-50.

Lawrence's win bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Cony, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1.
