Football Game Preview: St. Croix Central Panthers vs. Osceola Chieftains

The St. Croix Central Panthers will challenge the Osceola Chieftains at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Croix Central has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight defeats, while Osceola will come in with three straight wins.

St. Croix Central is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Altoona on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Panthers came up short against the Railroaders, falling 36-12. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

Meanwhile, Osceola posted their closest victory since September 6, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 35-33 win over Prescott.

Osceola's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for St. Croix Central, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

St. Croix Central strolled past Osceola in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a score of 39-20. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Chieftains have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
