Football Recap: Alta Loma Starts Season with Victory Against Peninsula + How To Watch

Alta Loma gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They claimed a resounding 46-0 win over the Peninsula Panthers. This was payback for the Braves, who suffered a 15-8 loss the last time these two teams met.

Alta Loma's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Izaih Brown, who rushed for 82 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Kristopher Biggers also helped with two scores in total.

Alta Loma didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Owen Lyons and Ryder Dunlap. Dunlap is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Alta Loma got some further help from Alexander Rodrigo: he picked up two sacks, forced one fumble, and made six total tackles.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alta Loma will host Los Osos at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Peninsula, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against St. Monica at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
