Argyle is 8-2 against Fort Ann since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Argyle Scots will take on the Fort Ann Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Argyle has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 14.

Last Wednesday, Argyle came up short against North Warren Central and fell 56-46. While losing is never fun, the Scots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 863rd, while the Cougars are ranked 316th).

Meanwhile, Fort Ann escaped with a win on Wednesday against Warrensburg by the margin of a single free throw, 51-50.

Argyle better keep an eye on Kadence Cutter. He was instrumental in Fort Ann's win, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 15 boards. They are 4-2 when Cutter posts eight or more rebounds, but 4-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Stowhas, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

Fort Ann smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.

The victory got Fort Ann back to even at 8-8. As for Argyle, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Everything came up roses for Argyle against Fort Ann in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the squad secured an 86-37 win. In that match, Argyle amassed a halftime lead of 50-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
