Basketball Recap: Talladega Comes Up Short

Talladega won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They took a blow against the Winterboro Bulldogs, falling 50-22. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Talladega still got an impressive performance from Zae Cunningham, who posted six points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Justasia Pointer, who put up four points.

Talladega's defeat dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Winterboro, the win (which was their 21st in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

Talladega didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 33-25 victory against Handley on the 1st. Winterboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
