Richmond-Burton had to settle for second on Friday, but Madison Kunzer sure wasn't going down easily. Kunzer was dynamite, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Kunzer and Richmond-Burton will be playing in front of their home fans against Marengo at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Sadly, Kunzer's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Rockets' three-game streak of wins at home.
