While Luther didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Rush Springs Redskins 11-2 on Monday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Redskins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  win against them.
 Bray Mussyal was a major factor no matter where he played. He  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits. Mussyal was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Cade Bailey, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3. He also  hit a  double, marking his first of the season.  Brody Becker was another key player,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
Luther's record now sits at 5-2. As for Rush Springs, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 7-7.
Luther will have a chance to go back-to-back against Rush Springs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
