Liberty Common extends road losing streak to seven

Recap: Liberty Common Eagles vs. Peak to Peak Pumas

The Liberty Common Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 54-41 to Peak to Peak. Liberty Common has struggled against Peak to Peak recently, as their match on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Liberty Common lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Max Frevert, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Ford, who scored 12 points.

Peak to Peak found their leader in underclassman Tysen Burton, who scored 22 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Burton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cole Boonstra, who scored four points along with seven steals and six rebounds.

Liberty Common's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-7. As for Peak to Peak, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Liberty Common's road trip will continue as they head out to face Prospect Ridge Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 11th. Prospect Ridge Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine games -- so hopefully Liberty Common likes a good challenge. As for Peak to Peak, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kent Denver at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kent Denver will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
