Basketball Recap: Concord Comes Up Short

Concord was the 56-50 winner over La Porte when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Concord Minutemen took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the La Porte Slicers.

La Porte's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Griffin Ott-Large led the charge by putting up 16 points. Another player making a difference was Destin Matzke, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for La Porte, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6.

Concord has already played their next match (against Laporte), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. La Porte will welcome Valparaiso at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. La Porte is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4 points per game this season.
