Basketball Recap: Clinton Prairie Extends Winning Streak to 13

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Clinton Prairie walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 64-40 margin over the Carroll Cougars on Wednesday. The Gophers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Carroll lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Eli Falkenberg, who went 6-for-12 en route to 18 points and eight boards. That was a full 45% of Carroll's points, marking the third time in a row Falkenberg has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Aidan Duff, who scored seven points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

The win was the 13th in a row for Clinton Prairie, bringing their record for this year to 21-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.7 points. As for Carroll, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-5.

Clinton Prairie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-37 victory against Rossville on the 7th. Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
