Kent Denver waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 47-34 victory over the Colorado Academy Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-37 back in February.

Among those leading the charge was Caroline Phillips, who went 5-for-11 on her way to 17 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Austin Duncan, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 20 boards.

Kent Denver was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They are 8-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

When it comes to explaining why Colorado Academy lost, don't look at Hannah Smith. Despite the final result, she shot 41% from the field to rack up 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Anna Johnson was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten boards.

Kent Denver's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points over those games. As for Colorado Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.
