Baseball Recap: Maranacook Victorious

Maranacook had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Lisbon Greyhounds by a score of 9-5 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Black Bears in their matchups with the Greyhounds: they've now won five in a row.

Austin Tibbetts looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Maranacook got a big performance out of Carter Nelson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Caldre Glowa was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Maranacook's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Lisbon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.
