Pavilion never let their opponents score on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Letchworth Legends with a sharp 14-0 win. The game marked the Golden Gophers' most dominant victory of the season.

Landen Stoddard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, Hayven Cordes was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Pavilion has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Letchworth, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Pavilion is on the road again on Saturday to play Fillmore at 1:00 p.m. The Eagles are coming into the contest with five straight defeats at home, meaning the Golden Gophers will have to defend against a squad out to give their home crowd a much needed win. As for Letchworth, they will host Perry at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
