Softball Recap: Surry Central Comes Up Short

Surry Central lost against West Wilkes back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Surry Central Golden Eagles came up short against the West Wilkes Blackhawks, falling 15-1. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Surry Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaycee Dalton, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Surry Central now has a losing record of 1-2. As for West Wilkes, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Surry Central will head out to take on North Surry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Surry's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Surry Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for West Wilkes, they are taking a road trip to face off against East Surry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
