Softball Recap: Fairfax Stampede vs. La Joya Community Fighting Lobos

Fairfax proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 11) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the La Joya Community Fighting Lobos 10-9. The Stampede have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Fighting Lobos, too.

Alexa Quiroz was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Quiroz is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaslene Soberano, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Quiroz wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Fairfax kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
