Volleyball Recap: Grand Junction Starts Season with Win at Home

Grand Junction gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Coal Ridge Titans as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Grand Junction not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Coal Ridge between 18 and 21 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-21.

Coal Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Grand Junction will face off against Denver East at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Coal Ridge, they will take on Gunnison at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. This will be the Titans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
