Softball Recap: Lamar Takes a Loss

Lamar was the 14-13 winner over Heights when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Texans fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. The Texans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maureen Faustermann made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Autum Foster, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Lamar's record is now 11-4. As for Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lamar and Heights will both be playing Bellaire the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Texans will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
