Basketball Game Preview: Tartan Titans vs. South St. Paul Packers

Tartan is 2-8 against South St. Paul since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Tartan Titans will venture away from home to square off against the South St. Paul Packers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Tartan turned things around against North on Saturday. They walked away with a 66-59 victory over the Polars.

Meanwhile, South St. Paul won against St. Paul Central on Friday with 52 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. South St. Paul came out on top against St. Paul Central by a score of 52-41. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Packers.

South St. Paul is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season. As for Tartan, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13.

Tartan came up short against South St. Paul in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 40-31. Can Tartan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
