Softball Recap: Silver Lake Regional Takes Down Ranked Marshfield

Silver Lake Regional faced Marshfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Lakers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Rams a 15-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lakers needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Silver Lake Regional's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Marshfield, they moved to 14-3 with that defeat, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.
