Football Recap: Largo Comes Up Short

Largo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost an 18-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northeast Vikings. The Packers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Although Largo took the loss, they still got scores from Katie Carro and Miracle Boswell.

Ava Persinger went supernova for Northeast, picking up 55 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 61 yards on only six carries. That's the most receiving yards Persinger has posted since back in February of 2024.

Largo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Northeast, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Largo wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 32-0 loss against East Lake on the 5th. As for Northeast, they will host Boca Ciega at 7:30 p.m. on March 12th.
