Iona Prep had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They never let the Regis Raiders get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Gaels also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Brandon Stabile looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Iona Prep got a massive performance out of Sean Concannon, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Concannon a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Goldstein, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, one run, and one double.

Iona Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Iona Prep's victory bumped their record up to 13-4-1. As for Regis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.

Coming up, Iona Prep will welcome Cardinal Spellman at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Regis, they will head out on the road to face off against Salesian at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.79 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
