Volleyball Recap: Concordia Triumphs

Concordia's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lexington Minutemen. The Fighting Orioles haven't had any issues with the Minutemen recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Concordia was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-11, 23-25, 25-16.

Concordia can attribute much of their success to Riley Gordillo, who had 15 digs and two assists.

Concordia was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Concordia now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lexington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Concordia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Lafayette County on the 16th. As for Lexington, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Excelsior Springs on the 18th.
