Baseball Recap: Boardman Takes a Loss

Boardman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to the Perry Panthers. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 13-2.

Boardman saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ivan Rudiak, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Boardman's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Perry, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boardman will welcome Poland Seminary at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Perry, they will host Green at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
