Basketball Recap: Powers Lake/Burke Central Comes Up Short

Powers Lake/Burke Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 50-37 to Kenmare/Bowbells. While losing is never fun, Powers Lake/Burke Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while Kenmare/Bowbells is ranked seventh).

Powers Lake/Burke Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Kenmare/Bowbells, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Powers Lake/Burke Central will challenge Parshall at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kenmare/Bowbells, they will square off against Tioga at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
