Recap: Palm Desert Aztecs vs. Xavier Prep Saints
The Palm Desert Aztecs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season. They took their contest on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 76-42 victory over Xavier Prep. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-19.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Palm Desert to victory, but perhaps none more so than Coby Christensen , who scored 20 points. Wil Wilson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Xavier Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paul Dreisbach, who scored 18 points. The game was Dreisbach's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tre Rochin, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Palm Desert is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Xavier Prep, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
