Volleyball Recap: St. Laurence Vikings vs. Glenbard West Hilltoppers
St. Laurence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glenbard West Hilltoppers.
While St. Laurence ultimately came up short, they really made Glenbard West work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 29-27, 25-14.
St. Laurence's offense was headlined by Tim Hyland and Elijah Landeros, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Matthew Suchecki and his ten assists.
St. Laurence's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Glenbard West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-3.
St. Laurence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Stagg on the 28th. As for Glenbard West, they will face off against Proviso West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
