Basketball Recap: Cibola Comes Up Short

Cibola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 60-37 to the Cleveland Storm. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-32 back in January.

Savannah Madueno went supernova for Cleveland, going 7 of 15 en route to 22 points and three steals. KC Winters was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Cibola's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Cleveland, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-10.

Cibola has already played their next contest (against Atrisco Heritage Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Cleveland, they are taking a road trip to face off against Farmington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Farmington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season.
