Volleyball Recap: Spalding Jaguars vs. Whitewater Wildcats
Spalding was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Whitewater Wildcats. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-9.
Rylee Vessell was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 18 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last ten games she's played.
Spalding's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Whitewater, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5-1 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Spalding will take on Hampton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Whitewater, they will head out to square off against McIntosh at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
