Basketball Recap: Bonneville Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Baya Jimenez and Adisyn Stone

Bonneville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. The matchup between them and the Viewmont Vikings didn't end well, with the Bonneville Lakers falling 35-20. The game marked the Lakers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Bonneville's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Adisyn Stone, who posted ten points and seven rebounds, and Baya Jimenez, who earned eight points in addition to nine boards and six steals. What's more, Stone also posted a 50% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in November of 2024.

Viewmont was led to victory by Mara Mickelson and Mary Carr. Mickelson almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds, while Carr dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards. Carr has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last three times she's played.

Bonneville's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Viewmont, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.

Bonneville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 48-28 defeat against Northridge on the 14th. As for Viewmont, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 36-35 loss against Clearfield on the 14th.
