Cuero owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the John F. Kennedy Rockets 2-0. That's two games straight that the Gobblers have won by exactly two runs.

The victory made it two in a row for Cuero and bumps their season record up to 7-9. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for John F. Kennedy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-7.

John F. Kennedy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 7-0 defeat against Somerset on the 22nd. Hopefully Cuero payed attention to John F. Kennedy's contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on John F. Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
