Basketball Recap: Illinois Valley Takes a Loss

Illinois Valley lost against Oakland back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Illinois Valley Cougars were beaten by the Oakland Oakers 63-27. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Illinois Valley and nudges their season record down to 12-9. As for Oakland, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

While Illinois Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
