Tri-County Academy waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with 18 straight wins... but they left with 19. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Riverfield Academy Raiders, sneaking past 4-2. The Rebels have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

Luke Power spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Tri-County Academy's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Tri-County Academy pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Riverfield Academy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-4 record.

Tri-County Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
