The Banning Lewis Academy Stallions are taking a road trip to take on the James Irwin Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Banning Lewis Academy has six straight wins, James Irwin has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Banning Lewis Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Prospect Ridge Academy.

James Irwin had taken La Junta down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Jaguars lost 3-0 to the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Jaguars have suffered against the Tigers since October 19, 2019.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-21, 25-16.

Banning Lewis Academy will need to focus on slowing down Lilliana Vanasse, one of several James Irwin players who made an impact when they last played. She had 18 digs and one assist. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Trujillo, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Banning Lewis Academy's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for James Irwin, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.

Everything went Banning Lewis Academy's way against James Irwin in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Banning Lewis Academy made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stallions since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
