Softball Recap: Union City Wins Going Away Against Slippery Rock

Union City got themselves on the board against Slippery Rock on Saturday, but Slippery Rock never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Rockets. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 12 runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Madison Swan, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Danica Williamson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Union City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in three consecutive matches.
