Soccer Game Preview: Dougherty Valley vs. California

The Dougherty Valley Wildcats will face off against the California Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dougherty Valley is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

On Tuesday, Dougherty Valley narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Monte Vista 3-2. The Wildcats' winning goal came courtesy of Armon Alboudwarej.

Meanwhile, California has been on a difficult stretch since their win on the 14th. They and Livermore finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

Dougherty Valley's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those six games. California's draw makes their record 8-5-5 this season.
