Basketball Game Preview: Wake County Academy HomeSchool Wolves vs. Northwood Temple Academy Eagles

The Wake County Academy HomeSchool Wolves will challenge the Northwood Temple Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northwood Temple Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Wake County Academy HomeSchool, who comes in off a win.

Wake County Academy HomeSchool's tournament run continued when they took on NC GBB Academy back in December of 2024. Wake County Academy HomeSchool snuck past NC GBB Academy with a 40-34 victory.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wake County Academy HomeSchool to victory, but perhaps none more so than I Maima, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was C Blackwell, who put up nine points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Northwood Temple Academy entered their match against Harrells Christian Academy on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Northwood Temple Academy lost to Harrells Christian Academy at home by a 79-61 margin. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Crusaders are ranked 24th).

Wake County Academy HomeSchool now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Northwood Temple Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-6.
