Recap: Gillespie Miners vs. Litchfield Purple Panthers
The Gillespie Miners's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 61-40 walloping at the hands of Litchfield. Gillespie was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-15.

Gillespie has been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 17 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-21 record this season. As for Litchfield, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gillespie will square off against Pana at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gillespie is facing Pana at the right time seeing as Pana is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Litchfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Staunton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Litchfield knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Staunton likes a good challenge.
