Soccer Game Preview: Monacan vs. Cosby

Monacan is 0-9-1 against Cosby since May of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Chiefs will face off against the Titans at 7:30 p.m. Monacan will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, it was close, but Monacan sidestepped Powhatan for a 3-2 victory. That's two games straight that Monacan have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Cosby kept a clean sheet against L.C. Bird on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Skyhawks. Considering Cosby have won three matchups by more than seven goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win got Cosby back to even at 5-5. As for Monacan, their record is now 5-6.

Monacan came up short against Cosby in their previous matchup back in April, falling 2-0. Can the Chiefs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
