Cross Creek skates past Academy of Richmond County with ease

The Cross Creek Razorbacks can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They blew past Academy of Richmond County 73-22 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Cross Creek has managed all season.

Cross Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tahjae Hawes led the charge by dropping a double-double on 26 points and 20 rebounds. Hawes hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Micheala Bogans, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.

The win was the sixth in a row for Cross Creek, bringing their record for this year to 12-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points per game. As for Academy of Richmond County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cross Creek will take on Morgan County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morgan County will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Academy of Richmond County, they will head out on the road to square off against Hephzibah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
