Softball Recap: Rodriguez Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rodriguez). They were the clear victor by a 13-0 margin over the Napa Grizzlies on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won three matches in a row.

The team relied heavily on Ellie Steiger, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, three doubles, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Angelique Boot, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Steiger wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Rodriguez kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Rodriguez's record is now 3-1. As for Napa, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Rodriguez has already played their next game, a 19-0 win against Justin-Siena on the 6th. As for Napa, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-5 loss against Fortuna on the 7th.
