Recap: Balmorhea Bears vs. Dell City Cougars
In what's become a running theme this season, the Balmorhea Bears gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Dell City 66-46. The victory was some much needed relief for Balmorhea as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Dell City lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Reyes Espinoza, who scored 15 points along with five assists and five steals. Espinoza is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Tate, who scored 14 points.
Balmorhea's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Dell City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Balmorhea will be playing in front of their home fans against Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy is coming into the game with five straight wins on the road, so Balmorhea is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Dell City, they will take on Marfa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marfa will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Dell City surely won't give up without a fight.
