Volleyball Recap: Newark Memorial Comes Up Short

Newark Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westmont Warriors.

Newark Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Westmont, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Newark Memorial has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against El Camino on the 12th. As for Westmont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Burlingame on the 12th.
