Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Foresthill). They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 60-12 win over the San Juan Spartans. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wildfires' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Spartans are ranked 90th).

Vincent Navarro was his usual excellent self, rushing for 366 yards and one score while picking up 17.4 yards per carry. Those 366 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Waylon Gossic, who threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns on only eight passes.

Despite the loss, San Juan had strong showings from Brent Bautista, who threw for 112 yards and one TD on only six passes, and Arturo Angulo, who rushed for 40 yards and one score.
