Volleyball Recap: Carroll Comes Up Short

Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Des Moines Christian Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.

Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Des Moines Christian, their victory ended a seven-match drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-11.

Carroll didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Wapsie Valley on the 27th. As for Des Moines Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Lake Mills on the 27th.
