Baseball Game Preview: Jennings County Panthers vs. Lawrenceburg Tigers

The Jennings County Panthers will take on the Lawrenceburg Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Madison hit Jennings County with a four-run sixth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers lost 8-2 to the Cubs. The Panthers have struggled against the Cubs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Jennings County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zane Weinhorst, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Lawrenceburg fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against East Central on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 6-5.

Ryan Richard was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. T.J. Tibbetts was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Jennings County's record is now 10-14. As for Lawrenceburg, their record now sits at 16-9.
