Basketball Recap: Floyd Central Jaguars vs. Prestonsburg Blackcats

The Floyd Central Jaguars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They put the hurt on Prestonsburg with a sharp 107-83 win. That 24 point margin sets a new team best for Floyd Central this season.

It was another big night for Braden Moore, who shot 7-for-12 from deep and almost dropped a triple-double on 32 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronnie Samons, who scored 23 points.

The win makes it two in a row for Floyd Central and bumps their season record up to 9-11. As for Prestonsburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Floyd Central will take on the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Lawrence County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches. As for Prestonsburg, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m.
