Penobscot Valley put another one in the bag  on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by  a  7-1 margin over the Piscataquis Pirates. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  8-0  on Monday.
 Charlotte Dube made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits. Dube was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. That  double marked the first that  she has  hit this season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Allie LeBlanc, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Lila Cummings, who  went 1-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 Penobscot Valley was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .444. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .333 or higher in seven consecutive  contests.
Penobscot Valley's victory was  their sixth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 13-0. The Pirates are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on  a  five-game losing streak.
