Football Recap: San Ysidro Piles Up the Points Against El Cajon Valley

San Ysidro put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their match with ease, bagging a 38-6 victory over the El Cajon Valley Braves. Considering the Cougars have won three games by more than 31 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Vida Sanchez, who threw for 274 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 105 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries. Sanchez is also crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: she's punched in at least two every time she's taken the field this season.

San Ysidro didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kristine Fadriquela and Isabella Guzman.

San Ysidro's win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Ysidro will venture away from home to face off against Grossmont at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for El Cajon Valley, they will head out to square off against Southwest SD at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
