Basketball Recap: Elgin Comes Up Short

Elgin lost against Wallowa back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Elgin Huskies took a 51-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wallowa Cougars. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Wallowa, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-14 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elgin will head out to take on Powder Valley at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wallowa, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Wallowa Cougars face off against the Union Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Union will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Wallowa surely won't give up without a fight.
