Basketball Game Preview: Northview Wildcats vs. Whitmer Panthers

Northview hasn't had much luck against Whitmer recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats face off against the Panthers at 7:15 p.m.

Northview easily dispatched Findlay on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Northview fell just short of Southview by a score of 49-47 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 351st, while the Cougars are ranked 117th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whitmer). They breezed past Bowling Green to the tune of 91-46 on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Whitmer's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.1 points over those games. As for Northview, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.
